Nutrient Management in Rice Crop

Nutrient Application at Different Stages

    1. Nursery Stage:

For every 5 cents of nursery, the following fertilizers should be applied to ensure healthy seedling growth:
      • Option 1: 4 Kg Urea (2 Kg before sowing + 2 Kg at 10-12 DAS), 2 Kg 13-0-45, and 6 Kg Single Super Phosphate (SSP).
      • Option 2: 4 Kg Urea (2 Kg before sowing + 2 Kg at 10-12 DAS), 2 Kg Diammonium Phosphate (DAP), and 2 Kg Muriate of Potash (MOP)/Sulphate of Potash (SOP).

If Zinc deficiency symptoms appear, foliar spray of KEELATED ZINC (1g/L) or ZIO (2mL/L) will help mitigate the deficiency.

(Zinc deficiency in paddy nursery)
  1. Land Preparation: Incorporating 1 tractor load of farmyard compost per acre improves soil microbial diversity and enhances nutrient availability.
    • Option 1:100 Kg DAP, 25 Kg Urea, and 25 Kg MOP per acre.
    • Option 2: 50 Kg Urea, 100/150 Kg SSP, and 25 Kg MOP per acre + 8 Kg ZINC SUPREME and 500g POSHAK HUMIC per acre.
  1. 10 Days After Transplanting:

    If Zinc deficiency symptoms appear:
    • Top Dressing: ZIO (1mL/L) as foliar spray or KEELATED ZINC (500g/acre) mixed with sand or other chemical fertilizers.
  1. 20-30 Days After Transplanting:
    • Foliar Spray: ZIMA (1.5mL/L) to enhance early vegetative growth and stress tolerance.
  1. 45 Days After Transplanting:
    • Top Dressing: 50 Kg 10:26:26 per acre + KAM POSHAK (500g/acre) to boost nutrient absorption and plant vigour.
  1. Panicle Initiation Stage:

To promote grain filling and better yield:

    • Soil Application: 50 Kg MOP per acre (or) 25 Kg MOP + HIPPO as top dressing.
    • Additional Application: CHEVA (3 Kg/acre) + Foliar Spray: FULL FILL to enhance panicle development and grain quality.

By following this Integrated Nutrient Management Plan, rice farmers can improve crop health, yield, and grain quality while maintaining soil sustainability.
